West side of Goose Pond Loop still needs brushing. Also, large (20-inch?) crawl-/step-over blowdown from last year still across Goose Pond Loop on southeastern portion of trail. |

Eye flies and one or two deer flies -- not too bad. |

| Comments: |
Very humid conditions -- rocks on the trail have a moisture "glaze" on them. We managed to just miss the strong storm event this afternoon but caught some of the nice breeze from it.
Goose Pond's drought-induced low water levels have recovered ever-so-slightly after the rain event from a couple of days ago. We haven't see the pond so stressed as we have in the last couple of weeks -- low water levels are not good for the beaver family on the north end of the pond. |
