Comments
Comments: Perfect day for a long hike. A little hot at the start, but cooled off as the clouds rolled in and out. Nice cool breeze at the top. Had the top myself for 15 minutes, and other than the one guy that left when we arrived, saw no one until back on Davis.
You will get wet and muddy on this hike. There is no way to avoid it. Water crossings are a piece of cake right now, however the trail is a stream bed, or major mud pit, for a good part of its length. Sketchy bog bridges on Davis have finally collapsed, so no more forehead whackers. High peaks socked in but still some great views.
Mess at RB shelter #2 site has been cleaned up. Smelt a campfire in this area but didn't see a campsite.
