Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at the hairpin turn on the Kanc (fee) when I started at 8:15, starting to fill up when I got done around noontime.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings were fairly easy hops on damp rocks, watch your footing!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails all in excellent shape. Re-route on Cedar Brook makes this hike way better, as the tread is still soft, and it only has minor muddy sections... way better than the waterlogged junk that the old section had become.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a couple out with their humans, enjoying the day.
Bugs
Bugs: Very few, and not bothersome at all, even with barely a breeze.

Comments
Comments: Decided to take a run at the Hancocks today, as it's been 3 years, and why not. Passed a couple of groups on my way to the loop junction, then took the loop CCW, and met two folks descending South. No views on South. Across the ridge, I saw no one until I got to North, then two folks I passed earlier came up and chatted for a bit. No views from North either, though the sun poked through a couple of times, but it never cleared off fully. It was a quick descent from North, then a fast out, jogging most of the way. Sweet to be done just after noon!
