Really great conditions right now, only so so spots is Valley Way is a little 'greasy' in spots, slippery rocks and mud where the trail is becoming more eroded between mile 2 and 3. Crawford Path seems to becoming slightly more eroded each year, BUT, there has been ongoing work being done on Crawford Path below the Mizpah Cutoff trail where the trail was becoming more problematic, thanks to the trail crew for doing a great job maintaining one of the heaviest used trails, much appreciated.
Thanks Kyle for a helluva day out, starting with a midnight Presi Traverse in NH and ending with an afternoon and early night Great Range Traverse. Couldn't have had any better luck with the weather, traffic for the drive from NY to NH, and tame trail conditions. Incredible views all day. |
