Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the lower hiker lot at the cog. Got the last spot at 9:30 AM; others parked across the road in the open lot after we arrived.

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings on Ammonusooc easy rock hops, Crossing at bottom of Jewell at Cog Station no easy way across other than just walking though 6-12 inch deep water and getting soaked but you are at the end of the trail! For those heading up there are a few trunks below one could use if trying to head up but they looked challenging.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Ammonusooc - one step over right after where the trail from the cog joins. Jewell will need a little TLC. More than a dozen plus step overs, duckunders, and leaners starting below the large campsite about 1/4 mile below treeline scattered over a mile. Size from a couple of inches to a 2 feet. One large blowdown has led to a developing herd path.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A steep path but met dogs of all sizes heading up!
Bugs
Bugs: Out down low in the trees but bug spray kept them at bay.

Comments
Comments: Couldn't pass up what ended up being an amazing day to be in the pressies! Sun, perfect temps, and just the right breeze up top. Lots of traffic heading up to the summit and usual summit crowds, past the summit only a few people traveling north mostly down Jewell. Even with the crowds could not have asked for a better day!
