| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Two blowdowns within 0.2 of the trailhead: one is a cluster of large trees, easy to climb over, and one is a large trunk and some canopy, that can be ducked under and pushed through. Smooth going, other than the larger blowdowns and brushing that KenM mentioned in his maintenance report. |

Wanted to try and catch sunset, and Tremont was close and I hadn't been there in a while. Left the car at 6:28... a ridiculous time to start a hike. A shower moved through as I neared the upper switchbacks, and I saw it heading south as I reached the summit at exactly 8:00. Cracked the beer I'd hiked up, and enjoyed the rays wrapping around Carrigain, as it blocks the setting sun this time of year. Good to know. Departed the summit at 8:32, and nearly got to the crossing before having to don a headlamp. Down to the car at 9:30. A good workout to be sure! |
