| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking at the Elwell Trail trailhead. NOTE: There is a NEW NH State Parks fee canister at this trailhead -- accompanying signage suggests that this fee is a "donation." In the decade-plus years we've been using this trailhead, we've never seen this. |

Not an issue. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are in good shape. Some very minor brushing needed on Goose Pond Loop on western side of pond, as well as on the Elwell Trail on the 0.1-0.2 miles just north of the summit of Little Sugarloaf. |

A few mosquitoes in some damp, windless sections. Eye flies/gnats are becoming annoying. No black flies, though. |

| Comments: |
Still one of our favorite afternoon walks at this time of year -- few, if any, people on the trails; beavers active at Goose Pond; trees are leafed out and trails are shady; temperatures perfect. Bugs are the only issue, and they can be dealt with; the nice breeze yesterday helped. |
