Comments
Comments: Ascended via the Tucker Brook Trail to Taft Trail to Mittersill Peak. Tucker Brook Trail was generally dry and in good shape. Minor mud on Taft Trail above that, from equipment traffic. Taft Slalom ski trail from there to Cannon was a bit wet from the fog. From descent, continued down Taft Trail (significant mud in places below the Tucker Brook turn off from doing trail reconstruction without haying or seeding). A bit less muddy at the top of the ski area (where hay and seed have been used). Area has really been gutted in the past few months, but were able to peel off into the old T-Bar sections where it was a bit more like Mittersill used to be prior to this multi-million tax dollar project. From bottom of ski trails, took a dirt road to a water tank, then followed a foot trail serendipitously to Bridesmaid Falls and bushwhacked serendipitously to Plimpton Falls on our way back to Tucker Brook Trail (not much water flowing through either, but quite neat!)
