| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lot at Joe Dodge Lodge/Pinkham Vistors Center was two-thirds full at 1:30 am. Later that morning at 11:00, it was packed with a couple dozen vehicles parked along Route 16 (as well as a few vehicles patrolling the lot waiting for people to leave and open up spaces). |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One very small step-over softwood blowdown on Boott Spur Trail about 0.1 miles below treeline. |

| Bugs: |
Brisk winds kept bugs away above treeline. Below treeline, more than a few black flies and mosquitoes on Boott Spur Trail. |

| Comments: |
Alpine flowers are at peak bloom right now, in particular in the Alpine Garden. Excellent patches, as well, along Davis Path and atop Boott Spur.
Other than the typically wet scramble sections on Lion Head Trail below treeline, the usual open stream bed section of Alpine Garden Trail, and the disintegrating bog bridge muddy portions of Boott Spur Trail, trails were almost bone dry. |
