Hiking Trail Conditions Report
	Peaks	Lonesome Lake, NH

	Trails:	White House Trail, Cascade Brook Trail

	Date of Hike:	Saturday, June 4, 2016

	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Seemed like the whole world filed in behind me this morning. Big lot at Liberty Spring was full when I got back.

	Surface Conditions:	Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

	Recommended Equipment:

	Water Crossing Notes:	All water crossings were easy today and that included the wash out at Cascade Brook. Be aware though that we are expecting 2 inches of rain tomorrow which could alter these conditions for a while. We need this rain though... Seriously.

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	There was one blow down... But it was gone upon my return trip... The trail maintainer was on site today. Nice guy!

	Dog-Related Notes:	Isis had a great day on the AT with me. She was a little overwhelmed at the hut with all the crowds... But made it through. Plenty of water for a dog to drink and the grade is easy. Plus it's a short one.

	Bugs:	Oh they were out but not really biting... Cool temps kept them at bay.

	Lost and Found:	There was a black hat on the last mile of the trail to the hut.


	Comments:	What a great little section of trail. I really enjoyed this trip and had a nice rest at the hut (even with all the crowds). The views are always great and the breeze off Lonesome Lake is a welcome feeling after working hard to get there. Cascade Brook crossing is passable but we will get rain tomorrow. Conditions will change. I will use this approach again some time.
