Comments
Comments: It was a hot one on Saturday when we headed up to Cabot Cabin for the night. Slow going because of the heat, but the trail was in great condition. Bunnell Notch had a good amount of mud, but it was avoidable. I can't imagine what it looked like a week ago, though. First time this far north, and the hike was beautiful. We saw a Snowshoe Hare and a Grouse up at the cabin. The black flies are out and biting with a vengeance-- bring some bug spray and maybe a bandanna to cover your head/ ears. Once the sun started going down, the bugs disappeared. The cabin was full, and some people slept outside because the weather was so nice. Grabbed #23 of 48, and had a great time!
