The small trailhead lot was full (there were two large groups hiking today). Parking done the access road (there is signage prohibiting this outside the National Forest). We parked across Rt 2 in the lot used in the winter. |

No blow downs. Nicely blazed. |

Great hike for Fido, although dry in the higher elevations, bring some water. |

Black flies were starting to bite. Not bad yet. |

Very hot and humid day. Crowded trail today. Did see a 1ft x 2ft patch of ice. |
