I saw before I left that Mt Washington had received some new snow, so I figured Cannon had also. I was surprised to see there snow bottom to summit with a fat three inches up high. I put on traction early since this trail is pretty steep and the tree hugging and rock grabbing is less fun when they are covered in snow. I saw a couple of guys that made it, a trio that turned around and 4 young guys without hats, gloves or boots on they way up.
I am sure that the snow will be gone quickly but most summits will be slushy tomorrow and damp for a couple of days. |
