Comments
Comments: Except for the bottom mile on Edmands, conditions are very wet. Flowing or standing water almost everywhere, especially on the summit cone to Mt Washington. Hit persistent ice above 4000ft on Edmands, used microspikes up to Crawford Path. No traction was needed on Crawford Path all the way to Washington, although there were a few snow/ice fields where care was needed. The ridge is 99% free of snow and ice but very wet. Returned the same way after talking with others that came up Ammonoosuc. Didn't want to risk it. Used crampons descending Edmands for extra safety margin, although most will do fine with micros.
