Multiple blowdowns. Some you had to climb over or go under. One of the less maintained trails on the mountain by the looks but its still early in the season |

Rained all day. I was slightly unprepared as I was wearing jeans but I did have a nice patagonia shirt for a base layer that worked well. Did t get cold until near the top. We made it to the junction with Beaver Brook Trail and decided to turn back just to be safe as two of us were wet and we didn't know how difficult the descent would be. Micro spikes would have made the summit a sure thing but we didn't have them (gotta get some!). Some spots were boiler plate ice and we simply walked the edge and hung onto trees. I'm fairly novice and I wasn't stressed a bit, but the danger was still there. Beautiful trail that I plan to hit again and finish! |
