Comments
Comments: Awesome weather today! Besides a group of 8 on Frost Tr. I met only 4 other hikers. From North Twin could see others on South Twin later. Hope many others got out on other trails enjoying day. Snow from this past Tuesday made trails today much easier. Could see lots of thick ice under but the sticky, sun softened snow and ice provided fairly good traction. Used microspikes on most of the trails higher up and only a few spots presented small challenges. A nice change; hoping other trails were similar. Lower sections of Gale River Tr. and North Twin Tr. dangerously dry. Herd paths from both lots had a few wet and muddy sections. Thank you to Bernie C. for a ride back to Beaver Brook lot.
