Lost and Found
Lost and Found: There was a pair of sunglasses on a stub of tree in the trail junction, at foot level, where the Webster-Jackson loop splits. They were green and yellow and I left them there as a family of four were behind me coming down from Jackson and it might have been theirs.

Comments
Comments: Barebooting up the trail was fine until about half a mile up from the split of the loop trail. The snow from Tuesday covered up blue ice and from the tracks I could see, the family of four ahead of me, they had really trouble heading up using trees as handholds. I met a hiker coming down with Hillsounds and he said he had trouble with them as they balled up too easily. Once I took a slip I put on Hillsounds and despite the balling up effect, they were better than trying to bareboot. I met the family, mentioned before, coming down without having gotten to the top as they had no traction device and struggled staying on their feet. They had wisely aborted the attempt to get to the top. With warm weather things should get better as the snow will bond with the ice, which certainly wasn't the case today.
