Comments
Comments: From cabin, wonderful view toward Cannon, Franconia Ridge. Even better at outlook just short of cabin. From cabin it is another easy .4 mile to summit. Saw our first Spruce Grouse, about 4 feet from us on edge of trail just before summit.
Trail was mostly dry, some wet/muddy spots-were able to walk around them.
Last half mile was icy slab/monorail, easier with light traction.
Saw 2 different young guys who went up barefoot-have not seen that before.
