Comments
Comments: The trail to the loop trail is very manageable, I didn't even put on my micro spikes until I hit the junction for South and North. I talked to several other hikers on the way up. I chose to put on my spikes and hike UP south Hancock first because I was told this section of trail was the worst. It was considerably slick and I would say scary and death defying without spikes. The entire ridge trail was covered in snow and ice; I kept my spikes on all the way to North Hancock. The trail down from North had patches of ice but we're avoidable. I would recommend this route but I would rather hike UP the slick stuff than down but it's up to you. Happy Trails.
