Comments
Comments: Beautiful spring day temperature in the high 60's all the way up. Hancock notch trail was relatively dry in the am but was muddy in the late afternoon. Still a bit of ice on the trails higher up. We put on micro-spikes just after the junction of Hancock Notch & Cedar Brook Trail. Saw a couple of people bare booting. Decided to go up South Hancock first and across the loop trail to Mt Hancock. The micro-spikes are a must ascending South Hancock, crampons would not have been over kill as the trail is still icy.
Saw a total of 5 people on the trail at various times.
RT was about 7 hours (had a 11 & 15 yr old with me)
