| Comments: |
Mix of dry and wet trail to start on York Pond/Bunnell Notch Trail. Patchy ice started closer to the Kilkenny Ridge Trail junction, but not enough to play the on/off traction game. Ice becomes more prevalent about a quarter mile past the junction with Mt. Cabot Trail. We were comfortable in light traction (microspikes/Hillsounds) from there up to the summit. There was actually more old/rotting snow between the cabin and summit, rather than just ice.
Thanks to Claudette for a fun day with a long drive and quick hike! |
