| Comments: |
Herd path had a significant amount of standing water easy to avoid. NTT was dry and most of the FWT was dry with avoidable mud, put spikes on about a mile and a half before the summit. This was my first time on Lend-A-Hand trail and it did not disappoint, LAH trail started off bare, then there were ice sections from what is left of a disintegrating monorail. After the bog bridges, the trail turned in to a full on stream but it was easy to stay on the shoulder to avoid the water. Twinway was a combinations of corn snow, ice and a choppy monorail with deep postholing. Put hillsounds on before the ladders for the steep icy part. The monorail was firm enough with the cold temps but on my return it was softening up and it slowed me down and bit. More postholes after crossing paths with 2 barebooting. Thanks to B.F. & T.T. for the company to Hale. I had an excellent rest of the day! |
