Comments
Comments: Dry trail for a mile or so then the Microspikes went on. Hi-Cannon was a little icy but it was a warm day and the micro spike held well. The day was perfect for a hike until we went down Kinsman Ridge. Very steep and very icy. Warm enough for ice flows but not to soften the ice. Several hikers had trouble getting up the trail and we barely got down safely. Would say that crampons are required. The rest of Kinsman Ridge was fine. Great views from North and South Kinsman. Fishing Jimmy has some ice but nothing compared to Kinsman Ridge off of Cannon. Lonesome Lake was still snow covered. The book time for our hike was 8 hours, we finished in 10.
