Trail Maintenance Notes: No problems noted but ice on the trail was a big issue, you will need microspikes at about 2,500' and we put on crampons at 3,500

Comments: Fran and I attempted to summit Mt Pierce but once we reached about 3,500' we felt that the ice was to much and as nice of a day that it was we did not want to risk injury so we turned back. There were several other people that did make it and even two women who did an Eisenhower/Pierce traverse. We meet about 6 other that did summit but you can check out the video link below.
