Comments: Essentially bare ground until slide, then avoidable ice patches in wooded sections, used traction last section but removed for open slide.

Wore G10s entire ridge, lesser or no traction would have worked some places but changes from snow to hard ice appeared randomly. Even so I bushwhacked a few places notably coming off S peak. Saw fresh crampon marks going up N peak.

Did not want to mess with ice going down so bushwhacked W from col which I've done before. Upper part rough with blowdowns but opened into beautiful glades.
