We were intrigued with yesterday's write-up so we decided to have a go at it. Road walk was snow covered hiding the ice Traction worked ok but had to be aware. Osceola Trail was snow covered making it difficult to navigate the rocks and ice around them. Made for slow going with spikes. Changed to crampons around the ice covered slanted ledges. Stayed with crampons through-out peaks with same technique as previously written. Snow melted on lower part of trail in PM. with bare rock and ice visible. Able to use rock spikes at that point. Road was mostly bare on decent where we removed traction but, had to use caution where snow still covered the ice. Long tedious hike under these conditions, or maybe just getting old. Beautiful sunny but cold February feeling day with Schorman and Lady Di.
