Crossings were tricky early, with snow/ice on the rocks, but easy on dry rocks on the descent (55°F). |

Trail is in good shape. No significant blowdowns. |

We dropped a pair of Trail Pros on the way up and some folks we passed had placed them on the trail for us to find on our descent. Thank you! |

| Comments: |
Today's hike was the first without treacherous ice in a while. 2-3 inches of sticky snow was covering the ice throughout and providing great traction with spikes. Any minor sections of exposed ice were softer, even early. Trail is getting muddy down low.
Perfect day hiking with Chris. We were able to spend 45 minutes in the alcove on the summit, taking in the stunning views. |
