Just writing to second the report of Pepper and Me from the 25th. Crampons are most certainly not overkill. They are useful for any point above the first viewpoint, and much preferred on the summit loop. Ascending the summit from the right fork on the loop trail is easier. The left fork is steep and icy. Expect to do a lot of tree hugging if you take this branch. |
