||North Tripyramid, Middle Tripyramid, NH|
||Pine Bend Brook Trail, Mt. Tripyramid Trail, Sabbaday Brook Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, March 26, 2016|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Roadside parking at Pine Bend Trail, suboptimal but works. |
||Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
||Light Traction |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Some minor challenges coming out the Sabbaday trail, multiple river crossings, need to go in to 3" level. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||A couple blowdowns that need to be addressed, no big deal. |
|Lost and Found:
||This was a really nice day for this hike, with moderate temps.|
The steeps on both brook trails are difficult due to bare ice in many locations- we bushwhacked around them in several cases for safety coming down.
The Sabbaday Brook crossings are a bit challenging but not too bad, need to have waterproof boots and poles.
The Sabbaday Falls is an impressive treat at the end!
