Comments
Comments: Roughly half way up the trail turns to hard, glazed, thick, non-stop ice flow. Traction is needed. Most wore spikes, while I wore Kahtoola crampons. There is one stretch of ice, maybe 300 yards, that was particularly daunting -- some chose to bushwhack in the woods above that stretch. The early morning undercast viewed from the Star King summit was amazing. I enjoyed meeting Rick and Nate up top. Thank you to both.
