Got an early start today in hopes of watching the sun rise so up the Crawford path I went at 4:32 am. Icy trails today so I used micro spikes round trip. As I got to Pierce I was still in the clouds so I continued on the Eisenhower where the clouds were lifting from the peak giving me a great sunrise above the clouds as I've only seen from someone else's pictures. As the lower summits cleared I drank my coffee then headed back to the car. It was a perfect morning to hike. |
