Surface Conditions: Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow - Wet/Sticky

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water crossings are solid ice and are slow to cross. We had microspikes and could only move slowly crampons would have been very helpful

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was well marked and there was only one little blowdown.

Dog-Related Notes: My dogs first hike today and he did great once he realized that ice is slippery he had no problems with the ice crossings and he ended up doing a lot of waiting around for us

Comments
Comments: Really slow going around the middle of the hike because of all the ice. The time it took us to reach the summit was a lot longer than I anticipated. Once we were above tree line we were able to make up some lost time and get to the observation tower with no clouds in the sky there were some amazing views
