Comments
Comments: The steep part of Avalon Trail I got up with microspikes but crampons would not have been an overkill, so bring them if you feel more comfortable in them. The Willey Range Trail down from Willey had some serious ice with a thin coat of snow over it, had to bypass two sections off in the woods and hug & grab trees in other spots, made it down in microspikes but would highly recommend crampons. Nice afternoon hike, lots of people out and about.
