Comments
Comments: Hikes up the Polecat to Wildcat Ridge. Ski area wasn't open yet. Passed by a snowmobile near the top by the Ski area worker who was opening things up. Some nice views from the Ski Trail but trail in the clouds the rest of the day until heading down. Hit the summit of Wildcat D and moved on to Wildcat A (Eh in Canadian). Some icy spots but with a dusting to an inch of new snow, traction was pretty good. Ran into Anthony, another solo hiker on Wildcat A who joined me on the rest of the hike to Carter Dome, South Carter and Middle Carter. Took the Dodge cutoff off the Imp trail to get back to RT16 and road walk to 19MB. Anthony gave me a ride back to Wildcat Ski Area. Nice day to be out!
