There are some water crossings on the trail. Some of the rocks in the water were covered in ice, but a lot of them weren't. |

DO NOT bring your dog--he/she will not survive. There is a substantial amount of ice and it feels like you're ice climbing half the time instead of hiking. |

There is ice all over the trail--a lot of the time it feels like you're ice climbing up the trail instead of hiking! There is a bypass to the bypass, but the bypass is only rock and basically no ice, so it's not necessary to hike the bypass to the bypass.
A thank you to Bill, someone we met on the trail, for lending my Mom a Microspike. Both her Hillsound Pros had broke, surprisingly. |
