The gate to the Gale River Loop Road is still closed and locked. However, the road is bare and easily walkable. |

| Comments: |
A fine day for this hike. Relatively warm. ~15 people on trail + 2 dogs.
First third/half was bare trail, often will some standing/running water. Middle third was slippery ice. Last third was snowpack. Summit is bare rock with great views in all directions. Microspikes worked well except at some points on slippery ice. |
