If you like ice, this is the hike for you. Trail mostly hard packed snow or ice. Seems the overnight lows re-freezing what melted the day before. The show was starting to soften on the way out. Pine Bend Brook Trail is icy and slow after the sharp left until it enters the woods. Tripyramid Trail has lots of flow ice as you approach North peak. Ice can be avoided in many places by re-routing into the woods. From North to Middle the trail is much better. |
