Lots of ice but experienced dogs should have no issue. Water down low for the first half mile or so for drinking and splashing. |

| Comments: |
Early AM hike so trail was nice and firm. Sharp spikes the whole way but crampons wouldn't be overkill. I never felt the need to put mine on though. Not much snowpack but lots of ice. Unless there is a significant snowfall snowshoes won't be needed until next winter. |
