| Comments: |
The trail up to Pierce was mostly ice from the rain and melt off. The micros worked fine from parking lot to the peak.
The trail between Pierce and Eisenhower was ice/frozen granular/stable and unstable monorail. I used micros and considered several times switching to snowshoes but didn't. I postholed about 10 times but it wasn't worth the changeover.
The micros were a better choice for this section today. I would still carry the shoes for warming conditions as postholing might increase. |
