Comments
Comments: This trip started with strong winds whipping falling snow in our face as we climbed the Polecat Ski Trails to the sun coming out and balling up snow in our spikes as we hiked out Nineteen-Mile Brook Trail. Mother Nature messing with New Englanders as best she can.

It is still winter up on the mountains so traction is necessary to get up some of the steep ascents on the ridge, but nothing overly dramatic. Rain later in the week will probably destroy most of the trail, though.

The butt sliding down from Wildcat A was amazing. We got off the mountain in 14 minutes. This is by far the best part of winter hiking.

Hopefully winter will hang on for another week or so, but the warmer temperatures approaching is going to do some damage to these trails as some do not have a lot of snow on them to begin with.
