Comments
Comments: Bought pass and climbed Polecat to summit. I used snow shoes but saw where others had bare booted and didn't seem to have a problem. There is some exposed ice on the steeps that traction of some sort would be helpful on. Overall, good conditions. I smoothed trail out with snowshoes, but unfortunately it appears some rain showers coming in tonight and temps are not dropping below freezing so afraid smoothness factor won't matter...will probably be a tad sloppy. My timing on getting back to A was perfect...after 4:30, skiing done, got to use my Missile to sled back down...a real hoot!
