Comments
Comments: We started hiking at 9am and were the first group to cross Lonesome Lake on foot that morning. The conditions were mostly packed powder with some patches of ice. Light traction was a must. We used microspikes and poles. Snowshoes were not necessary because of the packed powder. The North Kinsman summit was sunny, but cold. We had great views across the valley to Mt. Lafayette. We stopped for lunch at Kinsman Pond. On our descent, we saw a large boy scout group at Lonesome Lake Hut. Overall, it was a great day.
