Comments
Comments: Brought snowshoes but kept them on our back. Spikes were more than adequate. Trail is broken out all the way to Hale. On second herd path (bypassing crossing on North Twin Trail) on way up we followed the predominant track high up on the bank. On return we stayed near the river bank and that was much easier. Dave and I saw only 5 other hikers all day. We had the summit of Hale to ourselves in the bright sunshine.
