Comments
Comments: Wore Hillsounds till just beyond Pierce Spur, then switched to snowshoes due to choppiness of snow on many portions of the trail between peaks to help pack it down. Switched back to Hillsounds just before trail left shrubbery heading up Ike and left them on back to car. Entire trail now well packed out so light traction okay. Lots of ice on ledges between peaks. Warm sun with minor wind and good VFTT. George came out from the clouds just as I left Pierce to head down to the car; for a brief period the summit top and buildings were in sun with the rest of the peak in shadow then changed back to full shadow. Quite a contrast. Many folks out, most for Pierce.
