Comments
Comments: Today started out cold around 7 degrees started out on the trail at 6:30am. Put traction on shortly after snowmobile track lower portion of lowe's path has few icy flow over spots on trail that definitely require microspikes or crampons. Once you hit steep part by log cabin still little icy patches with few inches packed snow with spikes. Hit jct. with randolph path was untouched we broke 6-8in of powder up to edmand's col. Edmand's col was little windy (around 20 mph) started our way up jefferson ditched the packs for less weight and made it to the top around Noon. Took a few pics and started our way down. Got to jct with Gray Knob trail decided to try it out. Was post holed so we tried to even it out with our shoes but only two people going through once won't do much. Can't believe people were leaving shoes at car only saw 2 people besides us with shoes.Hoofed it down Gray knob stopped in cabin to say hi to care taker and booked it to car. Out by 5:30pm it was 27 degrees and we were sweating. Overall awesome trip with my fellow friend big cat.
