i've been planning on combining these peaks this august and i couldn't have had a better day for it. first time on a number of these trails and first time hitting isolation via glen boulder. a really scenic alternative to the rocky branch route. the davis path down from boott spur offers some really nice hiking and was in great shape and a real smooth walk until after the isolation west junction where it gets muddy and rougher. good to be out. bryan |
