Great group to hike Isolation today. We wore snowshoes from car to car. 4 to 5 inches of new snow on bushwhack , unconsilidated broken out snow on Rocky branch trail,Isolation trail and Davis. We ran into 2 groups of 2 that had GPS tracks of the bushwhack. Our trail breaking on the Engine Hill bushwhack brought us up higher then the normal route ,as we wanted to avoid all crossings: about 3500' On the way back we entered the woods lower around 3200' and carved out a nice snow shoe trail back to Rocky Branch trail, the normal bushwhack route . If you follow our tracks do not go up the hill as it will add a mile and we retracked to come down to the trail. Lots of laughs, Spectacular views and a consolidation of team work today--we merged groups and made new friends!! Great day out with ALL .
