Comments
Comments: It looks like about 4 inches or so of new snow fell here in the last couple days. The trail was somewhat worn but soft and choppy so I wore snowshoes up to treeline for traction and the heel lifts. Just below the summit there's some pretty good ice so I switched to the Hillsound crampons which fared quite nicely. The folks I ran into on the summit were all wearing Microspikes or the Hillsound variant so I guess it can be done. On my way down I noticed most folks with Micropikes, two with full crampons, one bare-booter and zero snowshoes. On decent there are good opportunities for glissading and even some butt-sliding.

When I got to the top there was only one other gent there and as I was leaving three more came up. Descending I passed maybe 15-20 other folks making their way to the summit. Blue skies, light wind and abundant sun made for fantastic views and a pleasant trek today. On the way out I had Bugle Cliff and Elephant Head to myself which were nice spots to visit.
