Comments
Comments: None of the 'surface conditions' checkboxes really apply. Overwhelming majority of the day was spent on a traction-rich inch or so of firm styrofoam snow top underlying ice. I easily barebooted the entire route. My partner used Micro Spikes. Just one set of tracks before us until we got to the Mt. Cabot Trail intersection, from where there was heavy prior traffic that degraded the styrofoam a bit and exposed a few very small ice patches. 6" of loose powder on some of the stretches above the cabin.

A very nice partly sunny day that helped the BNT show off a lot of its beauty. Temps were teens on the way up, and low singles on the summit.
