Comments
Comments: Pine Bend Brook Tr starts off icy but soon turns to packed spring snow. I wore microspikes the whole way although some may be more comfortable with crampons. Climbing the gully was steep with some underlying ice as was the final ascent up to North Tripyramid. All could be easily navigated by stepping in the soft snow alongside the trail or a short detour through the trees. Easy sailing between the summits and back. It started to sprinkle on my way up but it soon turned to snow leaving about a half in on the ground during my time on the ridge. We saw no one else the whole time. Great leap day hike with my pup!
